Hello lovely reader! Welcome to my blog. I am so pleased that you happened to stumble upon my ramblings, so let me introduce myself. I am Becky. I am a girl from New Jersey who moved to Maryland with her boyfriend a little over a year ago due to both of our jobs being moved. Said boyfriend is now my wonderful fiance, for after a little over three years of blissful courtship (hah!), he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
And I said YES!
My fiance, let's call him Buffalo Man (for that is truly what he has been referred to in the past), is a 25 year old part-time student/part-time Government employee who loves his guitar, his Nintendo, and me. He has just about the most wonderful beard you have ever seen, and has so much warmth in his smile that he practically makes me melt on a daily basis.
Me? I'm a 26 year old gal who, when I'm not stuck in a gray cubicle, fancies herself to be a poet and a dancer (although I rarely let anyone see much of either), who loves her family very much and lives with the two loves of her life: her sweet/crazy/slobbery pup named Frankenstein and her fiance, Buffalo Man.
Over the past three+ years we have done a lot of growing up together. We've stepped into adulthood together, supporting eachother and loving each other the whole way, and now we've decided to make that lifelong committment to eachother, agreeing to share our life with one another despite any fights or disagreement we may have had or will have along the way. This is deep. This is intense, and I want to share this beautiful road to marriage with whoever might read this, because aside from all of the seating charts and dress fittings, there is a marriage in the works. Sometimes (most times) this marriage-to-be is put to test as the wedding is planned, so follow along and you'll see just how strong our love for eachother is, and what one-helluva party we'll have to celebrate that all consuming, all enduring love on October 13, 2012.
Game on!
